Dr. Buckner is a Summa Cum Laude graduate from the University of Colorado at Boulder.  There, she received the Karl Muenzinger award, awarded to one psychology student for excellence in research and academic performance.  She went on to receive her doctorate from University of Colorado, where she conducted research and received training in the treatment of mood, anxiety and eating disorders.  She completed her predoctoral internship at the University of Wisconsin’s School of Medicine’s Psychiatry Department in Madison, Wisconsin.  Upon returning to Colorado, she served as a staff psychologist treating eating disorders La Luna Center in Boulder and as a member of the treatment team at the Wellness Treatment Center in Englewood.  Dr. Buckner has served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Colorado, Boulder Department of Psychology and as a supervisor for students at the University of Denver’s School of Professional Psychology as well as in the DU Clinical Psychology Department.
